Something I would change about Chile

Hi, today I will be writing about something i would change about Chile. When it comes to this topic a lot of things comes to my mind. For example, every demands in the social movement that is happening right now, such as NO + AFP, education system and health system. Besides that, I think that the goberment is always behind the social progress, as we can see at the gender violence, the fight for free abortion and transgender people rights. Chile seems to be a very conservative country, and i would change that. Also, Chile is a neoliberalist country, so everything revolves around money, that way we have bussinessman in public office and laws that benefits them. They sold everything they could (pensions, water, health, education) to the private sector. I would love to change that to, because en Chile rights are privileges, that only some people can afford. And last, what affects me directly is the education system, because according to that system, our family income is at the same level...

My little brother

Today I will be writing about my little brother, his name is Emilio and he is 8 years old. My family was a four people family for a long time until 2011 when I was 13 years old. That year my little brother was born and it was a huge change to our family dynamic, because for a long time I was the youngest, and our parent only had two daughters, which is very different than having a son. When my brother was born, as I said I was 13 and my sister was 18 so our years difference is big. He was born on April 6th, 2011, and from that they on our lifes changed. I really think he is the center of this family, because now we are older (me and my sister), and we could be leaving our house for example, our parents would be living their independent lives, but our brother keeps holding us together. For my parents, they had to start all over again when he was born, and for me and my sister we have a little brother that we want to see grow up, and we want to be part of his daily life. I love my brot...

My post graduate studies

Today I will be writing about my post graduate studies. For a long time I thought I was going to Spain right after I graduate. At the time I didn't know what I was going to study then but I was sure I was was going to. Over time I realized that I didn't like studying (I mean, i love to learn but I don't like "the academy"), and that I was not that excited about the idea of keep studying after I graduate. So right now I'm hoping that it won't be neccesary to get my first job. Anyway, maybe when i'm working I'll realize that I need to learn new contents to keep doing my job or to do something else; but that I'll make that decision later and not right after I graduate. On the other hand, what I really like to do now, or when I graduate, or when i'm 30 or 50 is attending to classes or workshops to learn different skills and knowledge. I would like to learn more techniques to do handcraft for example, or learn another language. Right now i woul...

My future job

Today I'll be writting about my future job. Even though i'm studying psychology and I will be working as that, being a psychologist is not my dream. I've had a lot of dreams during my life, such as being a actress, a singer or a writer, but right now I've been discovering different artistic ways to express myself, such as painting and carving. So when I think about my future life I always imagine myself working in an atelier or having a small one in my house where I can do carpentry, prints and differents occupations that I will be discovering through time. I see my self working with wood, fabrics and different canvas. I will do it because it gives me so much pleasure while i'm doing it and joy when i see the final results. Also it is a really healthy way to express myself and I usually paint or carve to calm myself when i'm feeling anxious. So, I think I could get pleasure by doing this as my job. Anyway, to live by making art or handcraft is hard because it...

A fascinating and dangerous animal: Sea Urchin

Imagen
Today I'll be writing about sea urchins. I would love to talk about a specific type which is called "Toxic flower sea urchin". I found out about this animal when my eight year old brother wanted to watch a Netflix show with me. He loves animals and he found a show called "72 dangerous animals" which shows different animals that are agressive or letal in two continents: Asia and Latin America (as far as I know) -The show also has another version called "72 cutest animals"-. In the first chapter I found out about this kind of sea urchins, knows as a really dangerous animal in Asia. It has tiny tongs (called pedicellariae), almost microscopic, which stick to the skin immediately when someone touches them, and release a poison which is letal for humans, or at least cause an unbearable pain and paralysis . They also have predators, so when they are in danger, those tiny tongs are able to take rocks that are near to the sea urchin and use them to cover up, s...

Internet

Hello, today I'll be writing about the internet. When I was six or seven years old I used to have a big computer, which didn't have internet at first, so we used to play games such as Pinball, Solitario and Buscaminas. When we were able to have internet, I used to play Neopets, and when I grew up I started playing Habbo. So, mainly I used internet to play games. Then, when I was in school our teachers showed us Google Drive, and that changed my life. I didn't know it at the time, but when I started going to the university I realized that it was an amazing tool for doing group projects, because it gives you the possibility to write on the same page with different people at the same time! Besides that, I use internet for social media, and I spend a lot of time talking with my friends on Whatsapp, I also use Instagram to find art inspiration and another art techniques that I would like to try. I'm not going to lie... I use internet a lot for listening to music, watching mo...

My favourite concert

Imagen
Today I'll be writing about the most special concert i've been to. First of all I want to say that I'm a concert person, I love live music and I've been to many concert since I was little, so it is a little bit hard for me to choose one of them. I've had so much fun in different ways, dancing with KC & the Sunshine Band, enjoying the music with Herbie Hancock or being a super crazy Jonas Brother's fan. But when it comes to memorable concerts I inmediatly think about Hiromi. Hiromi Uehara is a japanese pianist player who plays different types of jazz, especially jazz fusion. I went to see her on 2016 at Nescafé theatre. I can't begin to express how incredible that night was. At the time, I only knew one song that I heard three days before the concert. As soon as the song ended I inmediatly bought a ticket to the concert because I knew it was going to be amazing. I went by myself and it was such an experience, so I'm grateful I went alone. The...
